These are some of the most important instruments used in the Mako Partial Knee procedure.

Rotary attachment

Attachment for the MICS that holds the ball burr in place during cutting.

Sharp probe

Used for bone registration (blue).

Long guard

Used to support the ball burr and provide protection to surrounding tissue against rotating cutter shaft.

Femoral array

Reference frame for femur. Provides reference information for any movement or change in orientation of the patient’s femur during a procedure.

Long array stabilizer

Used as a guide for femoral bone pin insertion. Remains in place during procedure to provide stability to the femoral array assembly.

Base array

Attaches to the base of the robotic-arm system. Used to track the robotic-arm system.

End effector array

Used for robotic-arm registration, probe check, and for burr tip verification on the bone prep page (software steps; fitted with posts for four VIZADISC).

Checkpoint driver

Used to insert and remove checkpoints into and out of bones.
