Guidance Module
The guidance module, operated by the MPS, should be placed outside of the sterile field, ideally in view of the surgeon.
Camera
The ideal placement for camera position is at the head of the table. As this may interfere with anesthesia, optimal results can be achieved by placing the camera between the 11:00 and 1:00 o'clock positions (with the head of the table being 12 o'clock). It is a priority that the camera have a direct and unobstructed view of the arrays.
Sterile staff
OR personnel should not block the camera.
Surgeon
The surgeon must be positioned on the operative side.
Mako
The Mako should be placed on the anterior side of the patient, aligned with the patient’s ASIS and acetabulum. The Mako can be placed higher—at the level of the chest and angled to reach all inclination and version angles.
